IT hardware reseller European Raid Arrays has appointed Chris Rawson as its new managing director.

Rawson has held senior management positions at Colour Film Services, Team4, UBQT Media and more recently at Ascent Media and Red Bee Media.

The appointment will allow ERA founders Gareth Hodkinson and Mark Weston to focus their attention on their roles as sales director and finance director respectively.

Commenting on his appointment, Rawson said: “These are exciting times for the company as ERA seeks to grow its business and reinforce its position as a leading supplier to the media, architectural, oil and gas markets.

“We will have a range of new initiatives placing increased emphasis on supplying solutions and services from project initiation through design, delivery, commissioning and even to the outsourcing of current in house maintenance staff.”

ERA is a leading provider of IT infrastructure products to creative and visual computing professionals across post production and broadcast.

A reseller of various manufactures, available kit includes workstations, render, RAID protected disk storage, switches and HBA's, NAS, SAN, back up/software, tape automation and 3D software.

UK customers include MPC, Framestore CFC and Ascent Media.
