Vidfilm managing director Roger Beck will become chief executive of the new group, reporting to Technicolor Creative Services president Bob Beitcher. Technicolor Imaging managing director Keith Williams will be leaving the group to pursue other interests. Williams joined Technicolor three years ago from TVI where he was managing director, quitting shortly after its takeover by US giant Four Media Company ( Broadcast, 26.11.99).
Creative Services UK is part of the Technicolor Content Services group which is currently being restructured and rebranded across all territories. Full details are expected in the next few weeks. In the meantime, it is also known that the DVD operation currently based at West Drayton will relocate to Denham in mid-October.
Technicolor bought privately held post-production services provider Vidfilm, which has operations in London, Los Angeles, New York and Singapore, in March this year ( Broadcast, 8.3.02). Technicolor itself was the subject of a £1.4bn deal 18 months ago when French electronics group Thomson Multimedia bought it from Carlton Communications ( Broadcast, 15.12.00).
