Screen Yorkshire has added three new staff to its industry development team as it looks to promote games and interactive media throughout the region.

Jamie Sefton becomes sector manager of Game Republic, Robin Cramp takes up the role of sector development officer for interactive media and Gavin Wilson is on board as new sector manager for corporate and commercial production.

“More people are employed by the interactive media sector than in any other screen media industry in Yorkshire and Humberside,” said Screen Yorkshire chief executive Sally Joynson.

“It is therefore integral to Screen Yorkshire's industry development strategy that we have experienced and talented personnel in these key roles to assist the region's creative companies in steering successfully through the current economic climate”.

Sefton has been involved in the games industry for a decade, working for Dennis Publishing and Future Publishing and reviewing video games on a freelance basis.

Cramp joins the from digital media agency Quba in Sheffield, where he was employed as an assistant producer.

Wilson has a long track record both in corporate and TV production, as well as writing, teaching and lecturing.

Screen Yorkshire has also made appointments within its Production Liaison and Exhibition and Education teams.

Jim Richardson joins from ITV Yorkshire as production liaison manager.

Chris Hordley, an experienced drama location manager, takes on the role of production liaison officer.

Emma Melling joins in the role of education officer.
