How it was done Art director Lee Jacobs and After Effects and 3D specialist Callum O’Reilly created a cheeky, bold and family friendly graphic style for the eight-part series. Drawing on the Victoriana of cape, wand and hat, they designed a classic playing card-style logo. A street magician was shot with a Canon 7D Mark II camera in a Hackney back alley with a graffiti wall backdrop to give the sequence an edgy and contemporary look. CGI cards were animated in Cinema 4D before being composited and tracked in After Effects to form the animated logo reveal and interstitials used throughout the programme.
