Feather Boy is a new kids series from Childsplay TV, which is expected to air on BBC1 this month. Based on the acclaimed novel by Nicky Singer, it explores problems experienced by young people. Oasis TV has done all the fx and titling work for the six-part series, which is directed by Dermot Boyd and produced and written by Peter Tabern ( Stig of the Dump ). 'Feather fx' were created by Martin Ashford and Leigh Wimpory at Oasis and include a flying dream, a nightmare and a sequence in which the hero's mother appears in a spinning room spewing feathers from her mouth. The effects were done in Media Illusion and XSI. The series stars Sheila Hancock and Lindsey Coulson.
