IBC 2015: Nearline storage provider Object Matrix will launch MatrixStore as a service at IBC in September.

Deployed as a hosted service or as a hybrid mix of on-premise and hosted, Object Matrix said the service would provide “a more open and vertically integrated offering but at Amazon and Microsoft Azure economics”.

It will initially launch in the UK but will also be offered to the wider global market. Object Matrix will also release an Amazon S3 interface to its MatrixStore storage platform.
