Ascent142 has poached Life on Mars colourist Jet Omoshebi from rival Pepper.

The award-winning grader, who had been at Pepper since 2004, starts her new job in May when she will work across both drama and features.

Ascent 142 vice president of sales and business development David Barrett said: “This is a real coup. Adding Jet to an already strong team is an endorsement to the investment that Ascent142 has made over the past twelve months”.

Omoshebi's other credits include Cranford and Ashes to Ashes. She won the Women in Film and Television craft award in 2007 and an RTS craft award for picture enhancement in 2006.

Omoshebi's departure leaves a vacancy at Pepper that managing director Shane Warden hopes to fill shortly. “This creates an opportunity for someone to join our team and we are lucky enough to be talking to some fabulous people,” he said.

Ascent has also added Pepper's Dan Chuter to its marketing team.
