Panasonic Broadcast is offering free stills cameras and training courses to people who buy their AG-HVX201AE P2 camcorder.

People who opt for the solid state camera between June and the end of September 2008 can choose between a free Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX35EG digital camera or a place on Panasonic Broadcast's TV-by-IT training course.

In order to participate in the promotion buyers must register their purchase at www.panasonic-broadcast.com.

The Lumix DMC-FX35EG compact 10Mpixel camera features a 25mm wide-angle Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens with a 4x optical zoom compact enough to fit in a slim, stylish body.

Panasonic's TV-by-IT training course is designed to explain solid-state and IT workflow for video production. The courses encompass workflow from metadata to archiving and includes hands-on practical sessions.

"Panasonic's leading position in the solid-state, tapeless production revolution has been won not just by our outstanding P2 technology, but also by our active role in educating users in the best techniques for using it," said Nela Pertl, European Provideo Product Manager, Panasonic Professional Broadcast and IT Systems.
"The TV-by-IT course offers a great way to fully understand the benefits of P2 production."
