Platform Post Production has spent£300,000 on new kit for editing and finishing RDF pre-school series Waybuloo.

The D'Arblay Street facility is providing offline, audio design, -online and finishing for the series, and has bought three Avid Symphony systems, two Media Com-posers and a 24-terabyte Avid Unity system, which it installed in a Glasgow studio for the duration of filming.

The company has since expanded to all four floors of its Soho building to accommodate the new kit, which will be relocated in time to finish the project through 2009.

“The timing has been great. We have reached capacity as a facility and the new suites mean we can fit in more work,” said David Tasker, general manager and founding partner at Platform.

Waybuloo is a 100 x 20-minute live-action/animation series made by RDF subsidiary The Foundation. It will air on CBeebies this spring.
