Platform can generate scenes from scratch, create new worlds behind actors, move camera angles, or extend scenes

Electric Sheep platform

Electric Sheep has launched a generative AI-powered platform for creating and editing video.

Users can begin with a media pool, script, storyboard, or idea and put that into the web-based platform, and then can use Runway, ChatGPT, Kling, Luma, V02, and more agentic AI tools to generate scenes from scratch, create new worlds behind actors, move camera angles, or extend scenes.

This content is put into a fully editable timeline with auto-generated metadata including shot content, type, and style. These edits can be made using natural language prompts. It includes fine grain control tools for VFX and post production that go down to the pixel level.

Electric Sheep ran a closed beta with filmmakers, VFX teams, advertising executives, music video producers, gaming companies, and artists and it is now available publicly.

The company was previously awarded £500,000 from Innovate UK for what was then planned to be an AI-powered rotoscoping tool. Other investors include Lucasfilm, Look AI Ventures, and advisors from Netflix. Electric Sheep was launched in 2023

“Anyone with any filmmaking experience will tell you that iterating, editing and producing pro-level video content is challenging, but with available technology, it really shouldn’t be,” said Gary Palmer, co-founder and CEO of Electric Sheep. “GenAI is radically changing production, but the fundamentals of filmmaking, and creativity, are the same. Electric Sheep is the first platform in the space to give storytellers of all kinds everything they need to make their final product the caliber of Hollywood productions. It’s a pinch me moment and we can’t wait to see what the public creates with our tool set.”

Angelo Burgarello, partner at Look AI Ventures, added: “Electric Sheep’s new AI agent-driven video editor is set to become an indispensable tool for every creative professional. Rather than merely expediting routine tasks, its intelligent platform actively collaborates with you, anticipating needs, suggesting edits, and automating complex sequences. By moving beyond traditional workflow acceleration, Electric Sheep aims to redefine the boundaries of what’s achievable in post-production in a simple and accessible manner.”
