She will focus on new brand partnerships and revenue opportunities across FilmNova’s portfolio of live sports, creative content and digital ventures

FilmNova has appointed Rupinder Downie as commercial director.

Downie has more than 30 years of experience in partnerships, branded entertainment, sponsorship and was previously brand partnerships leader at Channel 4.

She will lead the company’s commercial strategy, concentrating on new brand partnerships and revenue opportunities across FilmNova’s portfolio of live sports, creative content and digital ventures.

She brings a strategic mindset, deep industry relationships and a brilliant understanding of how commercial creativity can power content. FilmNova has recently been awarded the contract to produce the Boat Race as it moves to Channel 4, and has also picked up three nominations at the 2025 Broadcast Sport Awards, including Sports Production Company of the Year.
