Quantel launched its IP-based workflow QTube at NAB last week.

It works with SD and HD, and offers frame-accurate editing, metadata editing and downloads with assets securely accessed over the internet.

QTube’s browser is a Microsoft Silverlight-based viewer, which Quantel said enables users to search the Quantel Enterprise sQ system and find, view and edit metadata on content remotely.

The edit function is an internet-enabled version of the standard Enterprise sQ desktop editor, allowing complete timelines to be created remotely using browse quality media, with just the edit decisions published back to the home server.

It has an open API, supporting both Microsoft Smooth Streaming and Apple Live Streaming.
