A conference to look at the creative opportunities and technical challenges of shooting on different types of digital formats will take place at the end of next month.

‘Beyond HD’ will feature seminars, panels and workshops run by industry figures including head of post at Lypsinc Kevin Phelan, director of photography Gavin Finney BSC and cinematographer Tim Palmer.

The Foundry will also showcase its RED camera workflow software Storm at the event.

Neil Peplow, Skillset’s director of film, said the conference would be a “timely response to one of the most pressing skills needs that has emerged for the UK film industry in recent years”.

The two-day conference, which is funded by the Skillset Film Fund, will take place on 26 and 27 February at Ravensbourne college.
