Digital media and DVD authoring company TC Group has been renamed TC Soho and is expanding its services.
The company will buy a Snell & Wilcox HD Alchemist in January that will allow conversion between all commonly used HD broadcast standards and formats.
It will also offer digitisation facilities to indies using the Red and Panasonic P2 file-based cameras and provide remote internet access to rushes and rough cutting accessibility to clients via bespoke software.
In addition, the company has taken on Daniel New as head of operations. New joins from Crow TV where he worked as operations manager, increasing staff numbers to 14.
TC Soho managing director Sandra Rumble said: “Daniel has -considerable experience in duplication, particularly in high definition and digital file encoding, which fits with the services we plan to offer from 2009.”
