Resolution has opened its second new facility in as many weeks by taking over the building previously occupied by facilities company Head First.

The building will house nine offline edit suites and a dubbing theatre, bringing the total number of Resolution's sound studios to five. Resolution's lease will be held on a rolling basis until the end of the year when a more permanent decision will be made.

Resolution's commercial manager, John Jamieson, said of the rapid growth: 'We're on a roll at the moment and this is the next step in our overall expansion. Several series have ended up bigger than expected and we're making sure that that we're prepared for further returning series.'

Resolution opened up a facility in the former Barracuda Media building, after Barracuda's closure. Head First went into liquidation last month ( Broadcast , 16.7.04). The combined sites will give Resolution up to 20 further suites, making a total of 60.
