One of the founders of Pace Micro Technology Barry Rubery has gone back to his roots and launched a set-top box business. Harrogate-based Fusion Digital Technology has been set up with the help of£3m from Beko Electronik, the TV set manufacturing division of Turkish conglomerate the Koc Group. Beko will manufacture the boxes in Turkey. The first products will be on the shelves in September, including an£80 DTT box. Rubery launched Pace back in 1982.
