SIS has appointed Gary Smith to the new role of chief operating officer and member of the company’s board.
He will be based at the company’s new offices in Salford.
Smith joins SIS from Canada’s Bell Video Group, where he was president and looked after the company’s satellite television business and IPTV service.
Prior to that, he held senior positions with BSkyB in the UK.
