Sound and audio recorders that connect via HDMI

What are they? Sound and audio recorders that can be connected to cameras via an HDMI output for the recording of Apple Pro Res or Avid DNxHD codec.

How do they work? The Pix 240 has HD-SDI input and simultaneous SDI and HDMI outputs. For audio capture, the low-noise-128 dBu EIN, high-headroom, high-bandwidth inputs are mic and line switchable, and include limiters and high-pass filters.

Pix 240 includes a built-in Ambient Recording Clockit time code generator or reader with genlock output for multi-camera and double-system sound applications. The source time code can be derived from the SDI stream, from an external source, or from the built-in generator in Pix 240.
