Shoreditch-based facility Strongroom Post and Hampstead-based Air Studios are to rebrand as Breathe Post Production. The move follows Strongroom owner and director Richard Boote's multimillion pound acquisition of Air in February this year.

A further four edit suites running on Avid Media Composer Adrenaline HD and Final Cut Pro HD are being installed at the Shoreditch site as well as upgrades to its existing Symphony finishing suite to Nitris HD.

Around £100,000 is also being ploughed into audio specialist Air to cover picture post-production. The investment includes two Media Composer Adrenaline HD suites, a Symphony Nitris and two Final Cut Pro HD suites, which will be used for drama and film work. The new structure sees former post-production co-ordinator at Air Sally Drury promoted to post-production manager at Breathe.

Strongroom's Boote said the facilities were being expanded to meet demand from clients (including the BBC and Tiger Aspect) for one-stop-shops. Strongroom Ltd's other divisions - Strongroom Studios, Strong Hire and Strongroom Management - are not included in the rebrand.
