Manchester facility Sumners has acquired the graphics and corporate company Voom, also Manchester-based and founded by former BBC graphics specialists Andy Frith and Victoria Newton in 1997. Voom's recent clients include Channel 4, Talkback and the BBC. Sumners also recently announced the creation of a specialist corporate production division, Sumners Content. Owner Andy Sumner said he hopes that the acquisition of Voom will "strengthen and complement the in-house production team". Frith and Newton will both continue to work within the new set-up.
