Camera equipment supplier Take 2 Film Services has bought £400,000 worth of lighting equipment from Elstree Light and Power (ELP).

The investment is part of the company’s efforts to provide a broader range of production services.

Take 2 managing director Glyn Edridge said: “The acquisition has enabled us to grow our lighting arm, Take 2 Lighting, and offer our customers a complete production solution in live production and cinematic environments.”

Finance for the new kit was arranged through Azule.

For ELP, the sale of the kit will allow it to concentrate on other parts of its business, Broadcast understands.

Take 2 supplies motion picture and digital camera equipment to film and TV producers in the UK. Its lighting department has provided kit for Lewis, New Tricks (pictured) and Midsomer Murders.
