Company produced four explainer videos for Extreme E successor

Badass Studios produced four explainer videos for the inaugural Extreme H World Cup.
The competition, which is a successor to Extreme E, took place in Qiddiya City on 9-11 October. With the change in the competition, Badass Studios produced four explainer videos about the new cars and formats. These were a Multi-Car Race Explainer, Time Trial Explainer, Head-to-Head Explainer and Pioneer 25 Car Explainer
It also created a digital twin of the Qiddiya City circuit, the Extreme H car, and event environment using the BadassXR platform and Unreal Engine. This was used in the videos, alongside advanced rendered animation, racing line graphics, and integrated sponsor branding, and the content was created in multiple formats for both broadcast and social media usage.
Badass Studios also developed a high-fidelity XR Simulator Module of the FIA Extreme H World Cup in Qiddiya City. The simulator was deployed at the venue.
Ali Russell, managing director of Extreme H, said: “Our ambition with Extreme H is to redefine how fans experience motorsport, to make it more immersive, engaging, and connected to the innovation happening behind the scenes. The work delivered by Badass Studios helps us do exactly that.
“By creating interactive and visually rich content, from virtual world explainers to AR-powered race experiences, Badass Studios helped us bring a new dimension to our storytelling and created a perfect example of how technology and creativity can come together to make sustainable innovation truly exciting.”
Rosemary Lokhorst, CEO of Badass Studios, said: “We are an XR studio that connects brands with the new generation by building exciting, real-time immersive experiences centred around the things they love; gaming, esports, and sports.
“Our collaboration with Extreme H perfectly embodies that mission. By combining creative storytelling with real-time technology, we’ve helped deliver an engaging, interactive experience that bought the world’s first hydrogen racing to life for its audiences in a fittingly innovative fashion.”
