Tool claims to allow users to go from idea to animated narrative content in 15 minutes
Charismatic.ai has launched a generative AI platform for creating what it calls, “microdramas.”
Users can input a written prompt to the system, which will then generate animated episodic content using video models such as Veo3. It can do this in any genre, and is targeted at turning concepts, audience data, or advertising briefs into short serialised stories for creating scenes, settings, storylines and more.
Charismatic AI was developed in partnership with Channel 4 and Aardman Animations, with ethical design oversight from digital ethicist Lisa Talia Moretti.
It was awarded £1m in funding from Innovate UK last year, and its aims include developing business models that enable creators to be remunerated for their ideas, and specifically supporting creators disadvantaged through lack of access to funds or the industry to compete with better funded organisations.

“Charismatic.ai is a scalable creative pipeline built for agencies, media networks, and creators,” said Guy Gadney, CEO of Charismatic.ai and former television executive at the likes of the BBC, Foxtel, and more.
“Our focus on good storytelling is the missing link in AI developments, and having worked closely with creators across TV, film, YouTube and TikTok, we are now able to deliver a world-first solution that connects short-form content like microdramas with quality narratives.”
