The suite of metrics combines AI and machine learning with detailed horse tracking data

Dubai Racing Club (DRC) has invested in data and analytics tool RaceiQ to enhance its racing coverage.
RaceiQ was created through a partnership between Racecourse Media Group (RMG) – which represents the media interests of 61 racecourses across the UK and Ireland – and sports data and analytics company Ellipse.
The suite of RaceiQ metrics combines AI and machine learning with detailed horse tracking data, and is already an integral part of Racing TV and ITV Racing’s pre- and post-race analysis.
Now, coverage from Dubai is being enhanced through the use of RaceiQ, benefiting fans watching live at Meydan as well as audiences tuning in around the world.

The investment comes ahead of the Dubai World Cup on 28 March. In 2025, nearly 40 broadcasters aired Dubai World Cup Day across 170 countries.
Ed Gretton, director of racing at RMG, said: “We are delighted with the reception which RaceiQ has enjoyed in the UK and Ireland, and for Dubai Racing Club now to adopt the metrics is a huge vote of confidence. These cutting-edge metrics provide new angles and narratives in every race and are fully aligned with Dubai Racing Club’s drive to innovate and attract new fans to the sport.”
Erwan Charpy, head of racing operations and international relations for Dubai Racing Club, added: “Dubai Racing Club is committed to engaging a younger, more tech‑savvy and data‑driven audience. RaceiQ supports that ambition by providing clear, accessible insights into a horse’s performance and offering fresh perspectives on how racing can be analysed. We are delighted with the product and look forward to working with RaceiQ and our long‑standing media partners, Racecourse Media Group, to develop the output even further.”
