The US broadcaster has partnered with a range of tech companies to enable its coverage of the Winter Olympics

NBC Sports has partnered with a range of tech companies, including Canon, Comcast Technology Solutions, Grass Valley and Audio-Technica, for its coverage of the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics and Paralympics.
NBC Sports has taken delivery of 115 Canon UHD broadcast lenses for its production of the 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics. Canon is also sending support staff, with four service and support members onsite in Italy.
Canon has worked with NBC Sports for 35 years, assisting NBC Sports’ production efforts at previous Olympics and other major international sports events in North and South America, Europe and Asia.

NBC Sports’ WInter Olympics
NBCUniversal owns the US media rights on all platforms to all Olympic Games through 2036. NBC Sports is showing selected Winter Olympics events live during the day on NBC and live streaming the entire Winter Olympics on Peacock. It is also airing a Winter Olympics primetime show, Primetime in Milano, featuring top events, stars, and stories.
NBC Sports has selected Comcast Technology Solutions (CTS) to provide multiscreen video management and delivery for its production of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
NBC Sports will use Comcast Sports360 from Comcast Technology Solutions, which includes CTS’ Cloud Video Platform, to manage on-demand content and metadata, and publish video across devices, sites, and apps.
Comcast Technology Solutions has worked with NBC Sports for more than a decade.

Meanwhile, NBC Sports is also using Grass Valley tools to deliver advanced signal conversion, routing, and orchestration technologies for its production of the 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics.
These solutions will be deployed onsite in Italy, at NBC Sports’ facilities in Stamford, Conn, and 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York.

NBC Sports has also selected Audio-Technica to provide professional microphones, broadcast headsets, headphones and accessories for its production of the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics and Paralympics.
Audio-Technica equipment will deliver much of its audio capture requirements across all sporting venues.
