Volleyball’s fan-focused social platform VolleyVerse has re-launched, with content led by Olympian Ci Michel.

VollyVerse has 2.5 million followers and subscribers and is athlete-led with behind-the-scenes content, deep dives into volleyball culture, watchalongs of the world’s biggest volleyball matchups and opportunities to engage directly with Ci Michel and other players and insiders.

The platform is built on three core pillars:

●    Entertain First: Use humour, relatability, and shareability to turn short-term clicks into long-term fan relationships.

Pro Insight: Provide high-level analysis using stats and context from the top leagues and players, but deliver in a relatable package for the everyday fan.

●    Grow the sport: Utilise short-form video, carousels, and hot-takes to improve the fan experience.

“I was excited to bring VolleyVerse back because fans are always trying to get closer to the game,” says Ci Michel. “The future of sports coverage is playful and quirky, and a little bit unserious. We want to create a space that co-exists with the more traditional style of sports media coverage, but can poke fun at the nuances of our game, as well as address any fan frustrations. We are building the community I would have loved to be part of as a player.”
