The ITC has released a training video to help producers use flashing images and regular patters on TV responsibly. The 13-minute video 'Impact with responsibility' covers the medical impact of certain visual techniques on viewers susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy - where convulsions are caused by flickering light. The highest profile case was a sequence in a Pokemon cartoon which resulted in 685 children being admitted to hospital. For more information see www.itc.org.
