The Foundry today launched Storm, its workflow software for Red cameras

Storm allows users to review, prepare, edit, conform and deliver Red Raw media on a laptop or workstation on and near-set.

The Foundry says it will be suitable for taking Red media from camera through the editorial process to post-production and delivery.   

Chief executive Bill Collis said: “We have enjoyed a very collaborative alpha and beta period and believe there is a real hunger for the tools that Storm provides.”

The software can be used to assign tags to identify and search for key frames or clips and to create user-defined bins based on tagged media.

Users can also display and edit multi-track video and audio to compare takes and establish baselines, while Storm’s integration with Final Cut Pro allows users to edit and re-conform back to original Red media maintaining tags and metadata.
