Brief Provide picture and audio post for the documentary series about the foundations of classical music.
How it was done Colourist Trevor Brown graded the series on the Nucoda Film Master.
He gave the newly shot and archive concert material a contemporary look with extensive use of shapes and secondary colour correction.
The archive material was also enhanced to complement the newly shot footage. He made use of the grain management and film defect repair facilities on the Nucoda during the grade to get the best out of the footage, some of which was decades old. T
he archive audio required a degree of restoration work by dubbing mixer Sue Malpass.
The live recordings and audio from CD and vinyl were treated to make the overall mix as consistent and clear as possible.
