Timeline Television’s IP 4K HDR truck is providing outside broadcast facilities for the presentation coverage of the ninth annual World Para Athletics Championships.

Timeline is working with independent sports producers and athletics coverage specialist FilmNova on the production using its top-end UHD2 outside broadcast truck to deliver live broadcasts from the nine-day event.

The HD production is being captured on Sony HDC-4300 2/3 inch Ultra HD 4K cameras with Fujinon Ultra HD lenses. Timeline’s UHD2 truck will combine host broadcaster feeds with these cameras and support two transmission galleries including EVS XT3 servers and edit suites.

“We’ve issued our brand-new IP 4K HDR outside broadcast truck to provide the very best in outside broadcast technology for our client,” said Daniel McDonnell, md at Timeline Television.

Timeline’s RF department is also providing a Roving Presenter Camera for coverage from the track and in field - the first time a broadcaster has presented from the track and in field at a major championship.

Coverage of the competition is from Friday 14 July to Sunday 23 July. 1300 athletes from 100 countries will be competing at the Olympic Stadium. You can watch it live on Channel 4, More 4 and All 4.
