Rushes has appointed former Mill and Framestore colourist Matt Turner as its new director of telecine, replacing Adrian Seery who is heading to the US.

Turner starts his new job next week (2 August) at which point he will head up a grading department that includes colourists Simone Grattarola and Denny Cooper.

Prior to joining Rushes, Turner worked as senior colourist at Company 3 in LA.

His recent credits include Superbowl work for Bridgestone Tires and Coke Zero, Travelers Insurance and Kia as well as feature film digital intermediate (DI) work.

Before moving to the US he spent five years at Framestore and nine at The Mill.

Rushes managing director Joce Capper said: “I’m absolutely thrilled Matt is returning to the UK and has decided to join us to head up the Telecine team here.  Matt and I have been friends for a very long time and I’ve always admired his work, his dedication and the approach he takes to a wide range of projects and the looks he creates.”

Seery left the company last week in order to move to America.
