TV Everywhere links with Object Matrix

The tie-up will enable a ‘local cloud’ solution for content owners who want to keep some or all of their assets in-house.

“We’re clearly moving to a world where keeping assets in the cloud is becoming more and more acceptable,” said TV Everywhere chief executive Iolo Jones.

“But for very large files being used in the asset production process, it still makes much more sense to keep these local until the production is complete and this is where Object Matrix comes in.”

Jones said Object Matrix had “proven, highly scalable storage solutions that can cope with the massive growth brought about by ‘big data’”.

Object Matrix co-founder Nick Pearce said: “We have been looking for the opportunity to work with Iolo and the team for quite some time and the integration with the TV Everywhere Mstorer platform enables us to do just that. 

“There is strong demand for cloud based asset management solutions that can provide a mix of both cloud based and locally available content.

“Mstorer is designed to provide that flexibility.”
