Indie Twofour Broadcast will bring all its London post-production work to Evolutions in a deal worth over£500,000 a year.

Series such as Five's Hotel Inspectors and Big Chef, Little Chef for Channel 4 will be post-produced exclusively at Evolutions, taking excess work from Twofour's editing facilities in Plymouth and London.

“Twofour's in-house capacity is not going to be sufficient to deal with demand and all overspill will be placed with Evolutions,” said the facility's commercial director, John Jamieson.

“It made sense for a company with as much work as Twofour to put it all through one supplier; not only for bulk-buy discounts but also to build an ongoing relationship,” said Shireen Ward, Twofour director of operations.

She added that TwoFour would gain from access to a greater number of suites, high-end grading and machine room facilities.

The deal also includes plans to develop technology across both Twofour's sites. “We are collectively looking at long-term opportunities based around fibre-based connectivity, file-based and collaborative workflows,” said Jamieson.
