Olympics opening ceremony Visual effects firm Union VFX has teamed up with Danny Boyle and the BBC to create a series of short films for the Isle of Wonder opening ceremony at the London 2012 Olympics.
Union co-founder Adam Gascoyne joined Boyle’s creative team to look after the storyboards, pre-visualisation and post-production. The fi lms will be shown on Friday to an anticipated TV audience of more than 1 billion.
Union VFX has recruited three new VFX supervisors - James Etherington-Sparks, Mark Michaels and James Roberts – to enable it to take on an increase in both film and television work.
