UPC has appointed former TV-am chief engineer Jonathan Try to head its Digital Media Centre (DMC) in Amsterdam as vice-president of broadcast operations and engineering. Try joins DMC from RTL Group where he was director of operations for UK Playout Services. Previous roles include MTV Networks Europe vice-president of technical facilities and BBC Television special facilities engineer
