Broadcast rental company Video Europe has splashed out around£1m on Avid kit and broadcast HD equipment. It includes three Avid Unity Lanshares, two Symphony Nitris and 20 Adrenaline HD Systems. Video Europe has also started to build a HD flyaway system for contracts such as the 2006 Asian Games and the 2007 Cricket World Cup. The system uses Sony's HDC-1500 camera channels, Probel routing and Sony's latest HD vision mixer, the MVS-8000.
