Video Europe is supplying flypack kit for IMG’s coverage of the CPL T20 cricket tournament, which takes place across eight islands in the Caribbean in July.

Video Europe will provide two outside broadcast units, comprised of 25 cameras, including Sony HDC-2500 (pictured) and HDC-3300s and Grass Valley’s recently released XtremeSpeed 6X Ultra Motion camera, along with six EVS XT3 servers and 12 Canon XJ95 box lenses.

Video Europe said that because the tournament takes place across eight islands in the Caribbean traditional OB vehicles would be “impossible” to work with.

Video Europe managing director Steve Green said: “Our team’s in-depth knowledge and extensive experience of providing live sports coverage, has been vital to developing the optimum solution on this challenging project, together with IMG. We look forward to continuing this journey with them.”

Since introducing a flypacks division last year, Video Europe has worked on The Commonwealth Heads of Government conference in Sri Lanka, the Super 50 Cricket and the England cricket team’s tour of the West Indies.
