Brief Provide picture and audio post-production for the 3 x 60-minute documentary series that takes viewers behind the scenes of the airline during its 30th anniversary year.

How it was done Head of grading Tim O’Brien graded the series, giving it a rich, glossy feel using Baselight secondary layers to saturate primary colours that reflected Virgin’s corporate colours.

Dubbing mixer Ben Vavangas completed the audio mix. Due to the nature of the show, there were several challenging scenes where the background noise of the airport proved to be problematic.

Using iZotope’s RX and the Waves suite of noise-reduction plug-ins, Vavangas was able to improve these parts and bring clarity to the voices, which helped to minimise the need for subtitles.
