Vislink provided a live 4K wireless transmission system for BT Sport’s coverage of the MotoGP World Championship at Silverstone.

Heralded as a world first by Vislink chief technology officer Ashley Jackson, the wireless set-up used the company’s recently developed UltraCoder system.

Jackson said: “Our 4K encoding technology has played a pivotal role in strengthening our relationship with (rights holder) Dorna Sports and BT Sport, and the results we’ve seen from the event have far exceeded expectations.”
