Wohler has updated its Pandora loudness monitoring and logging system.

A new application allows users to monitor, analyse, and demonstrate audio loudness levels on an iPad or iPod Touch.

“Pandora enables broadcasters and production and post houses to measure audio loudness against EBU R128, ITU BS.1770, and ITU BS.1771 standards in real time for compliance purposes,” said Wohler’s product line manager for audio and video products Jeff McNall.

Updates to Pandora include options to capture, store and email loudness log files.

Wohler said that users can also access a more comprehensive measurement of loudness metrics and support a more flexible configuration of the monitoring system.

The latest release of Pandora software is available as a free download in the iTunes App Store and will be on display at this year’s IBC trade show in Amsterdam.
