Mentorn Media has poached RDF Television’s head of factual Tayte Simpson to boost its output in the space.
Simpson, who will become director of factual at Mentorn, was previously head of factual at the Zodiak-owned indie, where he produced series including Secret Millionaire, BBC 3’s Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents and Wife Swap as well as a number of Cutting Edge documentaries.
Separately, Mentorn has promoted Hannah Wyatt to director of programmes. Wyatt has worked on Mentorn shows including Tulisa: My Mum and Me and Channel 4’s forthcoming The Fried Chicken Shop: Life In A Day.
Meanwhile, Emma Morgan will become director of development, while Naomi Carter will become director of production.
Mentorn’s creative director Mark Roberts said: “We are lucky enough to be working with the smartest commissioners who want to take risks and produce ideas that will help to define their channels. These changes will help Mentorn continue to offer creative programming ideas, attract even better talent and produce even greater shows.”
