IBC 2012: Adobe unveiled its collaborative video platform Adobe Anywhere at IBC.

The software will enable users to log, edit and publish content via a shared server.

Those using the firm’s Premiere Pro, After Effects and Prelude software will be able to work with centralised media and assets across any network.

The technology was two years in development and will not be available until next year, after a series of pilots - including one at the University of Salford - have concluded.

Adobe said Anywhere would help to reduce capital expenditure because it operates on existing hardware and network infrastructure, and with existing media asset management and workflow systems.

“We’re not asking anyone to learn anything new - it’s one extra panel to communicate with others you are working with,” said Terry Fortescue, Adobe director of product marketing, video and digital publishing.
