Brief Provide picture and audio post on the 15 x 30- minute series fronted by James Martin, who drives across the US to find its best cakes and bakes.
How it was done Matt Jeffreys, Steve Dix and Dan Evans onlined and graded the series in Avid Symphony, using the software’s colour-correction tools to create a rich warm guise and balance the looks of the various formats in which the series was shot.
Locations were quite challenging from a lighting perspective, with some scenes based in working kitchen environments.
Symphony’s colour correction was useful for balancing these situations. Sapphire FX was used to reduce flicker caused by strip lighting.
Dubbing mixers Gary Kelly and Alastair McCleave mixed the series in Pro Tools.
