Brief Post-production for the 12-part series that follows the glamorous lives of some of Marbella’s residents.
How it was done Dubbing mixer Daniel Taylor used compression, EQ and Izotope’s RX4 plug-in to match a plethora of isolated microphones that were often recorded in noisy locations. A rich bed of atmospheres and effects was needed to fill in the gaps and bring together the personal mic recordings. Taylor played with diegetic and non-diegetic music to bring energy to montages and create mood in reality sequences. The grade by senior colourist Graeme Hayes was completed on DaVinci Resolve. He worked to balance out the different lights and cameras and give the picture a glossy magazine look. The online edit was completed by Ian Mander and Sam Mangan on Avid Symphony.
