Flumotion Streaming Software
Open source software for delivering live and on-demand video and audio streaming from a single server.
How does it work? A software encoder sources the signal from a capturing device or content provider, while a streamer prepares the content for delivery. It runs on a Linux-based computer and can stream more than one channel simultaneously in a variety of formats, including Flash, MP3 and Windows Media.
What are the benefits? The same end-to-end Flumotion multi-format infrastructure can manage both the encoding and streaming processes, eliminating the need for different server machines for each part of the process and for each format.
