US product manufacturer Media 100 has announced both HD and SD applications for its 844/X editing/compositing product, an expansion of its Genesis Engine media processor. HDX will be demonstrated at NAB in April (and the Production Show in May), and comprises new software and a high-density HDX PCI card that will add 10-bit format conversion to the Genesis Engine. Audio is also improved. Media 100 said the product will be on sale for less than£10,000 to current users.
