Stephen Lovelock to join The Traitors indie as Toni Ireland lands major promotion

The Traitors indie Studio Lambert has poached Remarkable executive producer Stephen Lovelock as part of a bolstering of its creative team, Broadcast can reveal. 

As part of the move, the All3Media heavyweight has also promoted executive producer Toni Ireland to deputy creative director.

At Banijay-owned Remarkable, Lovelock has helped develop new IP and exec produced reality and entertainment programming including the reboots of Survivor for BBC1 and Deal Or No Deal for ITV1, BBC1’s Pointless and Pointless Celebrities, and Soccer Aid 2025. He has also series produced ITV1’s The Wall.

He has previously worked on Big Brother, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, The Jump and The Cube.

Lovelock, who will hold the title of executive producer in the All3Media production company’s unscripted division, said: “I’m genuinely excited to be joining Studio Lambert, a company I’ve always admired because of their extraordinary track record for delivering innovative, high-quality formats that travel the world.

“I can’t wait to join such a talented and respected team and help create the next generation of original unscripted hits with them.”

Ireland has worked at Studio Lambert since 2018, starting out by helping to develop and executive produce Channel 4’s The Circle.

She went on to exec produce the first and second series of The Traitors for BBC1 and NBC’s Peacock, and most recently she served as showrunner on Squid Game: The Challenge for Netflix.

Previously, she produced live entertainment formats including Saturday Night Takeaway and I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp for ITV and Big Brother’s Bit On The Side for 5, as well as unscripted shows Love Island (ITV2) and Celebs Go Dating (E4).

She said: “I’ve been lucky enough to work on some of the most exciting and ambitious unscripted shows of recent years with an incredible team at Studio Lambert. To continue to work on these projects whilst leading the development of other formats which are bold and distinct is something I can’t wait to get started on.”

Studio Lambert’s unscripted slate also comprises Gogglebox for Channel 4, Race Across the World and Celebrity Race Across the World for BBC1 and new format The Inheritance for Channel 4.
