FilmLight has launched Baselight 4.2, the latest addition to its colour grading system.

New features include curve-based video grade for finessing and a DSpot tool for the in-place repairs of image defects, as well as a system of timeline marks and annotation for progress and communication.

The latest version will also allow for digital dailies workflows, with support for per-shot audio from a variety of sources, including embedded QuickTime, MXF and R3D.

Steve Chapman, FilmLight’s director of development, said: “We’ve put a lot of development effort into Baselight 4.2, extending the capabilities across the whole of the product - not just the breadth of features but also the functionality.”
