BBC Technology has added Apple's Final Cut Pro HD editing software to the workflow for its Colledia production product. Colledia - which enables production staff to access electronically stored tapeless material on a shared IT platform - will be rolled out across the BBC over the next five to 10 years. It has also been made available to other broadcasters. Further editing software systems are likely to be integrated as the system develops. Meanwhile, Wexler Video, the California-based equipment and service provider, has bought Colledia to supply to the Hollywood production community, as announced at NAB.
