Body Snatchers is a gruesome three-part series made by the BBC exploring the relationship between man and the parasites that attack our bodies. Directed and produced by Alice Harper, the series is full of specialist photography by David Barlow, who won the Lennart Lisson Award last week for photographers who 'reveal the unseen world'. Body Snatchers, which goes out on BBC1 at 21.00 from 26 November, includes some of the most revolting parasites known, including tapeworms. Barlow and assistant producer Stephen Maud said it proved more difficult making the 16mm and DV footage palatable than making it realistic.
